Our mission

To empower young people through education, leadership development, cultural pride, and community engagement — helping them grow into confident, responsible, and successful individuals.

Our vision

To see young people in Hull inspired, united, and equipped with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to achieve their goals and positively contribute to society.

End of year celebration

Each year, Congolese Youth Group proudly hosts a special End of Year Celebration to recognise and celebrate the achievements, growth, and talents of our young people. This event is an important highlight in our calendar, bringing together young participants, families, volunteers, and members of the wider community to reflect on the journey of the year.

The celebration provides an opportunity for young people to showcase what they have learned and developed throughout the year, including performances in music, singing, dancing, spoken word, and other creative talents. It is also a time to acknowledge personal progress, leadership development, academic effort, and positive contributions within the group. Awards and certificates may be presented to encourage and inspire continued growth and commitment.

Beyond performances and recognition, the End of Year Celebration strengthens community bonds, promotes cultural pride, and creates joyful memories for families and young people alike. It reinforces our core mission — to empower young people with confidence, unity, and pride in their identity while celebrating their achievements and looking forward to even greater success in the future.
